The Technical Committee is developing the positions of the ECF on standardisation and legislation regarding technical and environmental issues. In particular the harmonisation of the European type approval and registration processes, the health and safety standards of the habitation compartments and various environmental issues are discussed.

In this way the ECF contributes significantly to the development and practical harmonisation of relevant international legislation, directives and standards regarding the production and use of caravans, motor caravans and mobile homes.
